The residents have been occupied this week planting some cyclamens to liven up the surrounding areas as we transition into autumn and winter. It adds a lovely splash of color.

Yesterday afternoon was delightful. We went to Newton Court for coffee and cake, sampled some of their delicious craft cider, and explored a selection of locally made gifts and artwork, along with some tasty foods.

Everyone at Ashfield House would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Watkins family and others for their generous gift of a new gazebo. Over the summer, our gazebo was damaged, and although we replaced it, the replacement arrived damaged as well. Anita's family kindly stepped in and provided a beautiful new gazebo, allowing the residents to once again enjoy sitting under cover in the garden. X

On Friday, we celebrated Afternoon Tea Week by organizing a bake-off for Ashfield House staff. Our panel of resident judges enjoyed sampling different types of cake to select the Star Baker among the staff members. The winners, Nehardra and Vivek, received a Star Baker apron, a wooden spoon, and a £25 Marks and Spencer gift card. Well done to both for your joint effort.
